Does CBD Get You High?

Does Cannabidiol (CBD) Get You High? The short answer is: NO.

CBD is 100% non-psychoactive. This means it does not negatively impact your mind or mental process. This is often confusing to many people who are not familiar with CBD and only know it because it is derived from cannabis. The old way of thinking was: If it comes from cannabis it must get you “High”. However, there are many different cannabinoids that the cannabis plant creates, with the most famous being THC. THC is the active cannabinoid that produces the “High” that people know and is why marijuana is illegal in many states. This is why people confuse CBD as something that can get you high.

Most CBD products you will find on the market are created from cannabis hemp which usually contains 0.3% THC or less. Cannabis Hemp is different than Cannabis Sativa even though they look similar to the untrained eye.
